Humans think that they can hear. but they hear so little that they are essentially deaf. The medical definition of legal deafness is 66 to 85 decibels of hearing loss. On the scale of hearing loss degrees, this is considered severe. Anything over 85 decibels of hearing loss is considered profound.
Humans are deaf
• Humans are deaf to anything that they cannot hear
* Many other animals can hear much better than humans
• Human hearing range is small, when compared to the total range of sound frequencies.
• Humans usually only know one spoken language, so humans are deaf to the meaning of all other foreign languages.
• Humans usually know very little about most school subjects, so humans are deaf to the deeper meaning of those subjects (i.e. math, science, engineering, etc)
• Humans usually only know one religion, so humans are deaf to the value of other religions.
• Humans are deaf to new ideas, as they fall outside their range of hearing.
Humans are profoundly deaf, and until they recognize it, they will continue to be confused by the world and suffer.
